***Big news for July***

I am very excited to be sharing with you about an upcoming project I will be participating in this July.

For two weeks, I will be joining the Tumaini Children’s Project to help teach photography to some orphans in Kenya, living with HIV.  N683400091_3102443_6911

This is the kind of project I have always wanted to participate in, as it uses photography as the powerful tool of communication and expression that it is, for such an important reason.  This is such an honour for me.

I look forward to providing the children with an opportunity to explore their creativity, while also engaging the local Kenyan community in a dialogue regarding AIDS and AIDS orphans, at the same time.  We will be hosting an exhibit in Kenya, as well as at the Youth Congress in Canada in August.

If you think this sounds interesting and are looking to participate, there are two ways that I best recommend!
  1. Donate an old point and shoot camera and/or a roll of 35mm film to the project.
  2. Donate any spare cash to help make this happen (Charitable Tax Receipts are available).  Each volunteer is fundraising to get to Kenya, as well as for the project as a whole, and any way you can help would be very much appreciated!
  • For donations of $100 or more, I am offering an exclusive 11X14″ print of your choice taken by yours truly on the trip.
To donate, please send me your address and the money via e-mail money transfer to

I will be updating my blog about my experience while I’m away.  Keep checking back throughout July!

Thank you, your help makes an enormous difference.
