There is nothing like taking a step out of the winter. It’s one of my favourite things to do. This month, I decided to step into Mexico. I’m here to shoot two destination weddings, and also to have a wee holiday before the busy wedding season begins. For the first glorious week, some friends joined me, and we lapped up every moment.
Then I took a mis-step onto a sting ray, and I could no longer step. Thus, my photos to share with you are from a more sedentary position. Details from the jungle.
As far as places to recover in, this one is it. I recommend it for any invalid! Actually, I recommend it to anyone – especially the healthy – in this area. No place is better. So, let me take a moment to give a little PR to Tailwind Jungle Lodge, in San Pancho. (San Francisco, Mexico) This family-run eco-lodge in the jungle is actually the most dreamy place for anyone who wants to experience sleeping in the middle of the jungle in a safari-like tent. Incredible. I can’t imagine a place with walls any better. I will be very sad to go. As for steps in this place, there are many — if you aren’t fit, you will be by the time you leave. Oh, and I am happy to say that I have a hop back in my step, and the sting ray is nothing more than a mere travel story now.
ps — Can’t wait to meet Lindsay and Ross for their wedding on Saturday!!!
