Always the photographer, now the bride.

No, not me, silly.  Laura Jane.  Laura Jane’s wedding of LauraJaneWeddings.

This wedding was an extra special treat for me.  Laura Jane is an extremely talented photographer and my good friend, and to be able to be her wedding photographer, to do for her what she has done for so many others over the years, really was such a special opportunity for me.  This was my third time photographing a wedding photographer’s wedding, and to me, it’s like winning the highest honour.

Thank you Laura Jane, for trusting me.  Oh, and for sharing this MAGNIFICENT day with me.IMG_1907Since we are talking about wedding photographers, I must confess that I have always had pangs of envy for some of the weddings that some Californian wedding photographers get to experience.  Photographers like Jose Villa and Boutwell Studios.  There is a softness and a creativity that seems to be in the air down there, and I always think the weddings seem so dreamy.

Well, I need to dream no more.  Laura Jane and Nick’s wedding was the Californian wedding I have been pining for.  They have style that Martha Stewart can only swoon over, and such imagination.  The ceremony was “Guerilla-style”, in a park, in front of a special tree.  There were picnic baskets and bubbles. The reception was at the Distillery District’s Archeo restaurant, with mind-blowing flowers created by the amazing florists at Stemz.

LJandNickThis day was perfect in every way.
